Fostering creativity in children has endless benefits!

Creativity can be purely for fun. Creativity can be used a means to explore learning topics, such as colour or mixing (science). Creativity can be used for sensory exploration and therapy. "It also helps to develop mentally, socially, and emotionally. Creating art in all different ways can develop children's ability to analyze and problem-solve. As children manipulate a paintbrush, their fine motor skills improve. By counting pieces and colors, they learn the basics of math. When children experiment with materials, they dabble in science.

Most important perhaps, when kids feel good while they are creating, art helps boost self-confidence. And children who feel able to experiment and to make mistakes feel free to invent new ways of thinking, which extends well beyond the craft room. " When children create art, they are thinking about their world, their thoughts, and their feelings. They wonder, they plan, and they represent themselves. Creativity is how children show us their inner selves.
